Congress of the Association of Photographers of Ba Ria Province

(NADS) - On the morning of November 3, at the Provincial Cultural Center, the Association of Photographic Artists of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province successfully held the Association Congress for the 2024-2029 term. Artist Nguyen Thai An, Head of the Photography Department, Provincial Literature and Arts Association, was highly trusted and elected as the new Association President.

The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is also the first unit of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to organize a congress nationwide.

Attending the event were NSNA Nguyen Van Thuong, Executive Committee Member of Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

The congress voted to approve the congress agenda.

In the past term, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has always determined that photography is not only a simple art form but also serves the local and national political and social tasks. Members have always promoted their proactive, orienting and creative roles to promote the image of the country and people of Ba Ria - Vung Tau in particular and the whole country in general through works imbued with the colors of national cultural festivals, or wonderful moments of life imbued with humanistic values.

Delegates voted to elect the Executive Committee of the Association of Photographic Artists of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province for the 2024-2029 term.

At the same time, he regularly and actively participates in photo contests in the Southeast region, nationwide as well as internationally. Thereby, he has achieved many achievements with 11 Gold Medals and 4 International Silver Medals; Excellent B Prize and 1 Bronze Medal along with many works exhibited nationwide; 3 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal, 6 Encouragement Prizes in the Southeast Regional Festival.

The representative artists of the Association include Nguyen Thai An, Do Tuan Hung, Nguyen Van Tai, Dinh Huu Ngoi, Pham Thuan, and Do Phuong Mai.

The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, including Artist Nguyen Thai An as Chairman and Artist Do Tuan Hung as Vice Chairman, introduced themselves to the Congress.

Artist Nguyen Van Thuong, Executive Committee Member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in charge of the Southeast region and Mr. Le Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association presented flowers to congratulate the Executive Committee of the Association of Photographic Artists of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province for the 2024 - 2029 term.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Association for the 2024-2029 term, including Mr. Nguyen Thai An as Branch Chairman and Mr. Do Tuan Hung as Branch Vice Chairman.

The Congress also elected 4 delegates, including 3 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate, to attend the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (2025-2030).
