The 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session.

On the morning of October 12, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term held a preparatory meeting. Comrade Pham Minh Chinh, Politburo member, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister chaired the meeting.

Also attending were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries, Party Central Committee members, Deputy Secretaries of the Government Party Committee, members of the Government Party Committee Standing Committee; Deputy Prime Ministers, leaders of ministries, departments, branches, central agencies; leaders of corporations, general companies, and commercial banks under the Government Party Committee.

Before the preparatory session, delegates attending the Congress laid wreaths, visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, laid wreaths, and offered incense at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street.

The 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030, has the theme "Building a clean, strong, united, exemplary, innovative, breakthrough-accelerating Government Party Committee, developing the country quickly and sustainably in the era of rising to wealth, civilization, prosperity and happiness". The motto of the Congress is: Solidarity, innovation - Democracy, discipline - Breakthrough creation - Integration and development.

The 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term is the first Congress of the Government Party Committee under the new organizational model, held on October 12 and 13 at the National Convention Center with the main content consisting of 2 parts: summarizing and evaluating the results of the 2020-2025 term, reviewing the leadership and direction of the Government Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; determining the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term. Discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the Central Committee to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Attending the Congress were 453 official delegates (including 60 ex-officio delegates, 157 officially appointed delegates and 236 elected delegates), representing over 209,000 party members from 2,211 grassroots party organizations in the entire Government Party Committee; along with about 120 invited delegates.

In recent times, the Government Party Committee has issued plans, guidelines, leadership, and direction to strictly implement the Politburo's Directives and Conclusions, regulations, and instructions of the Central Committee on organizing party congresses at all levels and preparing for the 1st Government Party Congress, term 2025-2030. By August 28, 100% of the Party Committees and affiliated Party cells had completed the organization of the congress, ensuring the content and progress as required.

The draft documents submitted to the Congress were prepared seriously, methodically, scientifically, intellectually, democratically and in accordance with regulations, including: Political report; Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Government Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term; Congress Resolution; Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 1st Government Party Congress.

On the occasion of the Congress, the Government Party Committee directed the organization of a photo exhibition on achievements and results of the 2021-2025 term of affiliated Party Committees; exhibition of achievements in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; exhibition of achievements in economic, cultural and social development.
