Military Region 5 summarizes the creative launch to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Traditional Day

Speaking at the program, Colonel Do Thanh Xuan, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 5, said: In 2025, in the joy, excitement, and pride of welcoming the country's important political events, the officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Military Region 5 are honored to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Armed Forces of Military Region 5 (October 16, 1945 - October 16, 2025) and receive the Ho Chi Minh Medal for the third time - a noble award from the Party and State.

This is an important political event - a milestone, marking the development and growth of the armed forces of Military Region 5.

The most prominent point in the series of activities is the widespread launching of competitions, such as: Competition to learn about traditional history; competition to mobilize poetry and song writing and beautiful photo contest on the topic of the Military Region's armed forces.

“With nearly 450 entries, it has contributed to vividly, truthfully, and heroically recreating the 80-year journey of construction, fighting, and growth; it is a rare source of documents that contributes to supplementing and enriching the treasure trove of traditional history, culture, and art. Affirming its position as one of the units with a long tradition and strong belief, firmly stepping into the new era - the era of national growth; building a "revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern" armed force of the Military Region, meeting the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new period", Colonel Do Thanh Xuan affirmed.

According to the Organizing Committee, after more than 5 months of implementation, nearly 450 works have been received, including more than 110 research articles, 30 songs, 282 poems and 26 photo panels from groups and individuals inside and outside the military. These are priceless "spiritual gifts", containing the feelings, enthusiasm and responsibility of the authors for the officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Military Region 5.

Each composition brought to the contest is elaborately staged.

The Organizing Committee selected and awarded: 4 First prizes, 9 Second prizes, 12 Third prizes and 20 Encouragement prizes to individuals with achievements in the online research contest;

Awarding 1 First prize, 3 Second prizes, 4 Third prizes and 10 Encouragement prizes to authors and groups of authors who won high prizes in the research writing contest;

Awarded 1 B prize, 3 C prizes, an Encouragement prize and certificates to 18 songs and 10 poems.

Awarding 2 First Prizes, 4 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes and 10 Encouragement Prizes for the beautiful photo contest. Along with that, the Military Region Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 agencies and units that had good achievements in organizing and participating in the contests in this campaign.
