The 20th Nghe An Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session.

On the afternoon of October 1, the 20th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, held a preparatory session with the participation of 500 delegates representing more than 200,000 Party members in the entire Party Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, delivered the opening speech at the preparatory session of the Congress.

With the motto "Solidarity-Democracy-Discipline-Breakthrough-Development", the Congress has the theme "Building a clean and strong Party organization and political system; comprehensive innovation, breakthrough development, striving to turn Nghe An into a fairly developed province, a national growth pole in the new era of development".

At the working session, delegates voted to approve the Presidium consisting of 15 comrades; the Secretariat consisting of 3 comrades, and the Delegate Qualification Examination Board consisting of 7 comrades.

Delegates voted to approve the number and list of the Congress Presidium.

At the working session, the Congress also discussed and contributed comments to the Draft Political Report of the 14th National Party Congress with 4 key contents including: Assessment of the results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the country's foundation after 40 years of renovation; viewpoints and goals of building and developing the country in the new period; structure and content of 13 orientations for national development in the period 2026-2030; including 6 key tasks, 3 strategic breakthroughs with priority contents in each strategic breakthrough; Action Program of the Party Central Committee to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.

The Presidium runs the Congress.

The Congress voted to approve the working program, internal rules and regulations; at the same time listened to the Presidium disseminate and thoroughly understand the election regulations within the Party; and reported on the synthesis of comments on the draft documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Congress also discussed and contributed comments to the draft Report summarizing a number of theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented renovation process over the past 40 years in Vietnam; the Draft Report summarizing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011-2025) and proposed orientations, supplements and amendments to the Party Charter.
