Dak Lak proactively responds to storm No. 10

On the evening of September 26, storm BUALOI entered the East Sea, becoming the 10th storm of 2025. This is a storm with strong intensity, very fast movement speed and wide area of ​​influence.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 p.m. (September 26), the center of storm No. 10 was at about 13.1 degrees North latitude; 119.7 degrees East longitude, about 900 km southeast of Hoang Sa archipelago. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 11 - 12 (103 - 133 km/h), gusting to level 15. The storm is currently moving in the West-Northwest direction at a very fast speed, about 30 - 35 km/h, nearly double the average speed of other storms.

It is forecasted that in the next 72 to 84 hours, the storm will move mainly in the West-Northwest direction, traveling 20-25 km per hour and will gradually weaken into a low pressure area in the Upper Laos region.

Experts warn that this is a strong storm that can cause a combination of many types of natural disasters such as strong winds, heavy rains, floods, flash floods, landslides and coastal flooding.

Implementing the direction of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dak Lak province has issued a document requesting departments, branches, sectors and coastal localities to closely monitor the storm's developments. In particular, localities are required to strictly manage vessels going out to sea; organize counting and notify owners of vessels and captains operating at sea of ​​the location and direction of the storm to proactively prevent it;

Functional forces such as the Border Guard, the Provincial Military Command, the Phu Yen Coastal Information Station, the Department of Fisheries and Sea Islands coordinate closely with localities to promptly inform fishermen and maintain regular contact to handle bad situations that may occur. At the same time, forces and means are ready to deploy rescue work when requested.

According to a quick report from the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue at 3 p.m. on September 26, the province had 2,993 fishing boats with 12,540 workers. Currently, there are 599 boats with 3,031 workers operating at sea. Specifically, the sea area from Quang Ngai to Ho Chi Minh City has 513 boats/2,483 workers; the sea area from Dong Thap to An Giang has 20 boats/128 workers; the sea area of ​​Truong Sa archipelago has 66 boats/420 workers.

Units are maintaining strict combat readiness, regularly updating the situation and developments of the storm to notify vehicle owners.
