To overcome this situation, in addition to the efforts of the functional sectors and localities, the most important are still the people who directly provide tourism-related services. All join hands to contribute to the sustainable development of the tourism industry, with mutual benefits.

Discussing this issue with us, Mr. Vo Thanh Huy - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) said: In recent times, ensuring the safety of tourists in general and preventing drowning accidents in particular has always been a matter of great concern to provincial leaders. The Department and localities, including key areas of Phan Thiet City and tourist establishments, have implemented many solutions to minimize drowning. However, there are still drowning incidents with tourists and this is extremely regrettable for Binh Thuan tourism. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as key tourist localities of the province will continue to have practical solutions to minimize drowning accidents and ensure safety for tourists coming to Binh Thuan. In addition to strengthening warnings, reminders, supervision..., the issue of human resources and rescue vehicles must always be ready so that when an incident occurs, timely rescue can be organized. In particular, tourists when swimming in the sea must not be subjective and need to comply with the rules and instructions in tourist areas and beaches.

Regarding the issue of ensuring food hygiene and safety for tourists, Mr. Huy recommends: When coming to Binh Thuan, tourists should choose reputable locations with specific business addresses, clearly listed prices, food safety certificates and food services recommended by tour guides and accommodation establishments. In the near future, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate with specialized agencies and localities to strengthen management and supervision to remind tourist establishments and locations to ensure food hygiene and safety for tourists.

In order to build Binh Thuan as a safe - friendly - quality destination, the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to implement the Project to ensure security and safety in tourism activities in Binh Thuan province in 2023.
