Joining the atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, National Day September 2 and major anniversaries of the year, on August 28, musician Nguyen Thanh Trung and his team announced the music project "Today's Country".

The work is a monumental musical work, performed by the musician with the desire to pay tribute to the contributions and sacrifices of generations of Vietnamese people over thousands of years of building and defending the country, so that today the country has peace , prosperity, and at the same time affirms the aspiration to rise strongly in the future.
Musician Nguyen Thanh Trung shared that in the modern Vietnamese music stream, many epic works have become milestones, connecting music with history, culture and the national soul. When writing “Today’s Country”, the musician also wanted to contribute his talent and works to the music stream praising the homeland, the country, and the revolution that is developing with many colors today.

Unlike the musical works previously released to the public, “Today’s Country” is constructed as a musical epic, consisting of 6 chapters: “Origin”, “Building and defending the country”, “The country rises”, “Declaration”, “Integration”, “Future”.
The work combines epic and lyrical elements with diverse musical techniques, reflecting the historical journey from founding, defending, building to integration and reaching the future. What is special is that “Today’s Country” not only recounts history through music but also leads listeners through the transformation of tone: from tragic to march, from soaring to affirmative.
According to musician Nguyen Thanh Trung, “Today’s Country” is a musical epic with high ideological and cultural significance. The 6 chapters of the work are 6 historical slices, present and future, woven with rich musical techniques. The musician believes that the work does not fall into one-sided historical illustrations, but places people at the center, depicting through images such as parents’ sweat, tears, singing, laughter, faith, etc. It is this humanistic element that makes the epic a spiritual declaration of the nation.

The work is being completed in MV format, with musician Duong Duc Thuy in charge of mixing and arranging, performed by People's Artist Quoc Hung and Sao Mai Nguyen Thu Hang, along with a 200-person choir combined with a symphony orchestra.
“I hope that “Today’s Country” will be seen as a contemporary epic, continuing the tradition of Vietnamese epic music, but at the same time bringing a fresh breath of the integration period. This is a work that music lovers can listen to, live with, and contemplate together - a song that goes with the years,” musician Nguyen Thanh Trung expressed.
