Recently, due to the impact of stormy weather, many sections on National Highway 14, in Binh Phuoc Ward, Bu Dang Commune, Tho Son Commune, Dong Nai Province have been degraded and severely damaged. To ensure traffic safety, Road Management Area IV has deployed repair packages from the center of Bu Dang Commune to Tho Son Commune and the package from Bridge No. 2 to Binh Phuoc Roundabout.

However, in addition to the routes and sections that have been approved for repair, there are a number of other locations that have also been degraded and severely damaged. These include the 893 bridge deck, the approach road to the 893 bridge, the PanToong bridge deck and the expansion joint of bridge No. 2. In particular, the 893 bridge deck, which is about 15m long, has many locations where the reinforced concrete floor has been exposed, because the asphalt covering the bridge deck has peeled off, creating deep, rough holes.

Most vehicles had to move slowly to avoid skidding and hitting the bridge surface. In addition, the area leading to both ends of Bridge 893, each side about 30m long, was also severely damaged with many dangerous potholes and deep holes.

At locations from Km892 +700 to Km892 +800 in Son Phu village, Tho Son commune, the road surface continues to deteriorate seriously, with many potholes and sharp rock edges, posing a potential risk of traffic accidents.

Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Tho Son Commune and the Dong Phu Traffic Police Station, the Traffic Police Department of Dong Nai Province have issued a document requesting the Road Management Area IV to direct contractors to speed up the repair progress of the approved project; at the same time, repair the 893 bridge area and some degraded locations, creating conditions for safe traffic and limiting traffic accidents.

Road Management Area IV has issued a Decision on allowing investment preparation for the Project of emergency repair of damaged bridge deck, approach road at 893 Km893+040, PanToong bridge deck at Km930+140; repair of concrete expansion joints of Bridge No. 2 Km962+220, National Highway 14, Dong Nai Province.
