Dong Nai promotes regional linkages in trade promotion

Trade promotion activities to expand the domestic and export markets have been focused on by Dong Nai province in recent times. Thereby, creating conditions for local strengths, specialties, and OCOP products (One Commune One Product Program) to reach further.

Trade promotion channels have promoted trade, sought business cooperation opportunities and strengthened linkage activities in the Southeast region in particular and the whole country in general; at the same time, they are an effective bridge for the business community to access and exploit the new potentials of Dong Nai province after the merger.

Strengthening connections and promoting local products

Many regional and national trade promotion activities were organized by Dong Nai province in the first months of 2025. Notably, the Southeast - Dong Nai Trade Fair took place in mid-August 2025. The fair was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Dong Nai province. This is the first national trade promotion activity organized after the province's merger in Dong Nai.

The fair featured many outstanding activities such as: Display area, introducing achievements in production of strong products, regional specialties of provinces and cities across the country; introducing industrial, agricultural, commercial products, OCOP products; contributing to attracting investment, strengthening the connection for socio -economic development of Dong Nai province and localities across the country.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, the 2025 Southeast Region - Dong Nai Industry and Trade Exhibition attracted more than 50,000 visitors to visit and shop, and over 140 businesses from many provinces and cities across the country participated in promoting and introducing products at booths.

According to the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion of Dong Nai province, in the last months of 2025, the center will coordinate with relevant units and localities to organize trade connection programs, connecting supply and demand for OCOP products, typical products of Dong Nai province such as: trade promotion program with northern provinces and cities, Ho Chi Minh City...

At the same time, strengthen thematic trade promotion activities in response to the Campaign for Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese goods; support the construction, management, upgrading, and maintenance of OCOP product introduction and sales points; support associations, unions, and enterprises to participate in international agricultural fairs and exhibitions in fields such as: wood and handicrafts, seedling exhibitions, high-tech agriculture, etc.

Director of Hoang Anh Cooperative (Binh Phuoc Ward, Dong Nai Province) Pham Van Hieu shared: The main product of the cooperative is cashew nut cake products that meet 4-star OCOP standards with original cashew nut and durian flavors. The main market of the product is currently in the provinces and cities in the Southern region. Through the Southeast - Dong Nai Industry and Trade Fair, the cooperative connects products to many localities across the country. This is an opportunity to promote and spread products to customers and partners in all provinces and cities, expanding the consumption market for local OCOP products.

Deputy Director of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) Le Hoang Tai emphasized: The Southeast - Dong Nai Industry and Trade Exhibition Fair in 2025 in particular and trade promotion activities in the new situation not only create opportunities for trade connection but also contribute to helping localities promote linkages, innovation and sustainable development in the new period. The fair is an activity under the national trade promotion program, aiming to promote trade, seek cooperation and business opportunities and promote linkage activities in the Southeast region in particular and the whole country in general.

Diversify trade promotion channels

Dong Nai province has great potential for industrial, trade and service development. Diversifying trade promotion channels will open up many opportunities for the province to promote its potential for attracting investment, trade and services in the province.

Director of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) - Ho Chi Minh City branch Tran Ngoc Liem commented: Dong Nai has a large number of small and medium enterprises and individual business households, so there needs to be specific attention for enterprises and production facilities to develop their brands. In particular, it is necessary to promote support channels for trade promotion, trade connection, improve management skills, and develop markets for small and medium enterprises.

Ms. Vo Thi Hien, owner of Co Hai Clean Pepper Production Facility (Dak O Commune, Dong Nai Province) shared: Currently, the main product lines of the facility are traditional black pepper and dried fruit products. Among them, black pepper and crispy dried Thai jackfruit products have met 4-star OCOP standards. The facility wishes to participate in many trade promotion programs inside and outside the province to expand the consumption market and improve the level of the facility's OCOP products.

In the coming time, Dong Nai province will strengthen the implementation of trade connection and trade promotion activities with many innovations and more appropriate steps to support local enterprises to integrate, improve competitiveness, and expand markets in the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution.
