Ho Chi Minh City is promoting regional linkage programs and tourism promotion to retain tourists and develop local tourism.

Ho Chi Minh City is one of the destinations that attracts a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. Along with that, since the beginning of 2023, the city has launched a series of products to improve the experience for tourists. This is a favorable condition for the city to cooperate with provinces and cities across the country to promote, promote and develop tourism in each locality.

Ho Chi Minh City has implemented tourism links with 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta, the Southeast region, Hanoi , Da Nang... Many activities from promotional events to connecting tours are continuously implemented.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City is promoting regional linkage programs and tourism promotion. This is an important key for provinces and cities to develop sustainably as well as attract and retain tourists. For example, last weekend, a survey program for eco-tourism destinations to realize the agreement program on tourism cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta was deployed. Accordingly, on October 20-21, the survey team and conference to evaluate destinations and develop tourism linkage programs between Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta visited and experienced many tourist destinations in Hau Giang and Soc Trang provinces. Through the survey, the locality has the basis to exploit tourism products more effectively. At the same time, create tourism products that closely follow market demand.

Sharing about the effectiveness of the tourism cooperation program, Mr. Le Trung Hieu - Director of the Trade and Investment Promotion Center of An Giang province commented that in the past 3 years, Ho Chi Minh City has been the leading ship and coordinated with 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta, including tourism cooperation. The tourism development of each locality has achieved positive signals and increased spread. Each province has built a tourism development program as well as created new products to attract tourists.
