This is a large-scale activity, taking place from September 26 to 29, gathering nearly 150 travel and tourism service businesses nationwide, aiming to affirm the position and brand of Ca Mau tourism in the overall development of national tourism.
According to the Organizing Committee, this series of events includes 5 main groups of activities that have been carefully invested in terms of content and scale. Notably, the Famtrip group surveyed the Ca Mau destination system, experienced community tourism products such as wading to catch crabs, setting nets, and booking crabs... This is an opportunity for businesses to build new tour products, enriching the image of the land at the end of the South in the eyes of domestic and foreign tourists.
At the same time, the survey team will visit typical cultural and historical destinations such as: Ca Mau Cape Tourist Area, Southern Amateur Music Art Memorial Site and the late musician Cao Van Lau, Bac Lieu Prince's house, Hoa Binh Wind Power Plant. One of the most meaningful activities is to participate in the Forest Planting Ceremony at Ca Mau Cape National Park on the morning of September 27. This event spreads the message of protecting forest resources, affirming the commitment to developing green tourism associated with nature conservation.
Notably, from September 27 to 30, at Hung Vuong Square, Ca Mau city will hold the Ca Mau Food Festival with about 100 specialty and OCOP product booths. This is an opportunity to honor the quintessence of local cuisine, while creating a space for culinary exchange with Ho Chi Minh City and internationally. The activities of food processing demonstrations, food experiences, and the "Talented Chef" contest will highlight the creative value of famous specialties such as Ca Mau shrimp and crab.
On September 28, at Cong Tu Bac Lieu Hotel, a scientific workshop on “Positioning Ca Mau tourism brand in the overall development of national tourism” was also held, gathering many experts, businesses and managers. The workshop is expected to provide sustainable development solutions, linking natural advantages, culture and market trends.
Mr. Ngo Vu Thang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, said: "Tourism is one of the four important strengths identified by the province in the draft documents of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term. This series of events not only celebrates World Tourism Day but is also a strategic step to reposition the local tourism brand, aiming at rapid and sustainable development of the smokeless industry."
From the perspective of a tourism business, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tan, Director of Saco Travel Company, said that Ca Mau possesses a unique forest-sea ecosystem, special cuisine and rich Southern culture. If exploited in the right direction, combining experiential tourism with green tourism, Ca Mau can completely become a particularly attractive destination on the tourism map of Vietnam and the region.
According to Mr. Ngoc Tan, this program is closely coordinated by many localities, businesses and experts. The series of events responding to World Tourism Day in Ca Mau will create a strong change, contributing to spreading the image of the southernmost land of the Fatherland, where nature is harmonious, culture is rich and people are hospitable.
