
This is the opening event in a series of activities to promote Vietnamese tourism in three major Chinese cities, including Beijing, Chongqing and Chengdu, to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China Cultural Exchange Year 2025.
Attending the program were Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration Nguyen Trung Khanh, Ambassador of the Vietnamese Embassy in China Ninh Thanh Cong, leaders of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Beijing and Tianjin cities, and representatives of tourism businesses, professional associations, airlines and press agencies of Vietnam and China.
In his opening speech at the program, Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh emphasized that tourism and cultural cooperation between Vietnam and China is a relationship rich in tradition, an objective need and has always been identified by the two Parties and two States as one of the important pillars in the overall bilateral friendship.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh affirmed that tourism cooperation between Vietnam and China has achieved many important and substantial results. However, the potential and room for development of the Vietnam-China tourist market is still very large.
Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh said that the Vietnam National Tourism Administration wishes to work with Chinese partners to promote the existing bilateral and multilateral cooperation platform, promote sustainable tourism development, and exploit the rich potential of resources, culture and people of each country.
According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, in 2024, the number of Chinese tourists to Vietnam reached nearly 3.74 million. In the first nine months of 2025, Vietnam welcomed nearly 3.9 million Chinese tourists, an increase of more than 43% over the same period.
Speaking at the program, Ambassador Ninh Thanh Cong said that in recent times, under the close attention and direction of senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries, cultural and tourism cooperation between Vietnam and China has developed positively and increasingly in depth, contributing to raising the level of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, building a Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future with strategic significance with the connotation of "6 more". In particular, tourism cooperation has played an important role as a bridge for trade and investment activities and is a bright spot in the relationship between the two countries, contributing to enhancing understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries, contributing to consolidating "a more solid social foundation".

Ambassador Ninh Thanh Cong emphasized that the program is even more meaningful when taking place on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the year of Vietnam-China cultural exchange. This is a good opportunity to introduce to the Chinese people attractive and safe tourist destinations and typical images of the country and people of Vietnam; at the same time, he believes that with the active cooperation of the competent agencies and enterprises of the two countries, the tourism cooperation between the two countries will continue to recover and develop strongly, achieving more results, contributing to consolidating and developing the friendly relationship between the people of Vietnam and China.
Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Department of Culture and Tourism Zheng Fang said that in recent years, cultural and tourism exchanges between the two countries have become an important bridge to enhance understanding and strengthen friendship between the two countries.
Vietnam has many historical and cultural sites and beautiful natural landscapes, attracting more and more Chinese tourists to visit and travel. At the same time, China is also an important tourist market of Vietnam.
Beijing City with many tourist attractions that are world cultural heritages is ready to promote tourism cooperation with Vietnamese localities, so that many Vietnamese people can understand and come to Beijing, and at the same time help many Beijing people feel the beauty of Vietnam.

Deputy Director of the Tianjin City Department of Culture and Tourism Zhu Yihai said that in recent years, Vietnam tourism has developed strongly and Vietnam has become a tourist destination that is of interest to many Tianjin residents in particular and Chinese tourists in general. This program to introduce Vietnam tourism in Beijing will contribute to promoting bilateral tourism exchanges and cooperation, including between Tianjin city and Vietnamese localities.

Within the framework of the program, representatives of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and Vietnamese travel agencies introduced attractive destinations, flight networks and typical tourism products suitable for the Chinese market. In addition, businesses from Vietnam and China also had the opportunity to exchange and promote tourism, expand markets and seek cooperation opportunities.


This is an activity of special significance, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship, promoting tourism and cultural cooperation between the two countries, while opening up opportunities to increase guest exchange, connect businesses and promote the image of a friendly and hospitable Vietnam to Chinese friends.
