According to the Prime Minister , recent directives have contributed to stabilizing price levels, controlling inflation, and creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to develop production and business.
However, price control is under a lot of pressure from the implementation of the market roadmap for State-managed goods that has been delayed in recent times; the cost of importing raw materials and fuel, and the cost of sea transport tend to increase; the implementation of salary regime reform... requires all levels and sectors to proactively assess and grasp the situation in order to promptly have response plans and appropriate and effective solutions.
The Prime Minister requested Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to promptly implement solutions to ensure balance of domestic supply and demand, stabilize prices, and prevent shortages, hoarding, speculation, and unreasonable price increases.
Closely monitor price developments of strategic commodities in the world market, developments in the world and regional situations, proactively analyze, forecast, and promptly warn of risks affecting domestic price levels, promptly implement within authority or propose and advise competent authorities on timely, appropriate, flexible, and effective measures, solutions, and response scenarios.

The Ministries of Industry and Trade, Health, Education and Training, and Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, according to their assigned functions and tasks, urgently review, report, and propose specific roadmaps associated with the level and expected time of price adjustment of goods and services under their management (medical examination and treatment services; electricity; educational services...).
“Closely coordinate with the Ministry of Finance, the General Statistics Office and relevant agencies to carefully assess the impact on the consumer price index and specific inflation control targets and scenarios, and report to the Prime Minister before June 30, 2024,” the Prime Minister requested.
The Ministry of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with local ministries and branches to analyze and forecast market prices, update detailed, specific and timely price management scenarios for the remaining months of the year, and have timely solutions to ensure the target of controlling inflation within the limit of 4 - 4.5%, striving for 4%.
For each specific item, first of all petroleum, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to ensure supply, avoid shortages of petroleum, manage prices according to regulations, increase market control, and apply electronic invoices.
For electricity, medical examination and treatment services and items under consideration for price adjustment, it is necessary to proactively have an adjustment plan with appropriate adjustment level and time to avoid causing inflation resonance.
Food items need to closely monitor the production situation, input price fluctuations, market demand for essential goods, and meet supply and demand. Closely monitor the development of the construction materials market to ensure supply and demand and stabilize prices.
With air transport services, it is necessary to stabilize air transport capacity to provide appropriate and balanced loads on flight routes, well meeting the air travel needs of passengers.
For educational services, it is necessary to grasp information on tuition adjustment levels of public vocational and higher education institutions, assess the overall level of increase and implementation status, control and operate to prevent unreasonable increases in prices of textbooks and educational services, leading to consumer price inflation.
The Prime Minister also requested to be open, transparent and honest about price information, avoiding inaccurate information that causes public confusion and damages to the State and consumers. Strictly handle the spreading of false information that causes confusion to consumers and destabilizes the market to stabilize psychology .
