Urgently clear the ground for projects to release capacity of Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plants

(DN) - On the afternoon of October 1, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha worked with Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and its affiliated units related to compensation and site clearance for the capacity release project for Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plant Project, along with a number of transmission grid projects under the adjusted Power Plan VIII.

According to EVN's report, regarding the Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plant Project, currently 2/5 capacity clearance line projects have completed 100% site handover. The remaining 3 projects still have some problems, specifically: The 220kV Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant - Long Thanh 500kV Substation has mobilized the handover of 65/87 pillars, 22 pillars have not been handed over; The 220kV Long Thanh - High-tech Park Line has 12 pillar foundation locations that have not completed the counting and determination of land prices; The 220kV Nhon Trach Industrial Park and connection transformer station has mobilized the handover of 26,000/35,000 m². The investor proposed that the Provincial People's Committee direct the People's Committees of communes and the Land Fund Development Center of branches to complete the remaining work and mobilize people to hand over the site in October 2025.

Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Dong Nai province, Pham Van Cuong, said: In the past time, the province has organized many meetings and issued many documents directing departments, branches, and localities to coordinate and support investors to speed up the progress of compensation and site clearance for power projects. Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee have also directly inspected the field and mobilized people to hand over land. However, since the operation of the 2-level local government, the People's Committees of some communes have not yet established a Compensation Council; the Regulations on coordination in implementing compensation and site clearance have not been issued in time, causing the preparation and approval of compensation plans to be slow. For each specific project, the Department of Industry and Trade has recommended that the Provincial People's Committee direct implementation to ensure the handover of site to the construction contractor this October.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha emphasized: Dong Nai is implementing many power transmission projects to relieve capacity for Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plants and a number of other projects according to the adjusted Power Plan VIII. These are all projects of special importance, contributing to enhancing transmission capacity, ensuring national energy security, serving socio -economic development in the Southern region, including Dong Nai province. At the same time, these projects also have the meaning of promoting the province's target of double-digit economic growth this year and the following years.

Regarding the proposal of EVN and the Department of Industry and Trade, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha said: The remaining workload is not much and is mainly the task of transferring from the previous district level to the commune level. The provincial leaders assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to synthesize all the problems and proposals of investors and localities to advise on solutions associated with the responsibilities of each unit and specific deadlines, so that the Provincial People's Committee can direct decisively, focusing on the early handover of the site for the projects to release the capacity of Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plants.
