Proposal to invest 1,750 billion VND to build new terminal T2 at Dong Hoi airport

The project has a designed life span of 100 years, with a total investment of about 1,750 billion VND. The costs include compensation, support and resettlement, construction, equipment, project management, construction investment consultancy, etc.

The project is expected to start construction in the third quarter of 2024 and be completed and put into use in the first quarter of 2026.

The total estimated investment of the construction investment project of component project 1, Construction of passenger terminal T2 - Dong Hoi airport, is about 1,750 billion VND.

The contractor preparing the Feasibility Study Report is the consulting consortium of Azusa Sekkei Co., Ltd. and Construction Technology, Equipment and Inspection Consulting Joint Stock Company - CONINCO (Azusa - Coninco Consulting Consortium).

The investment project to build passenger terminal T2 - Dong Hoi airport aims to meet the current and future development requirements of the airport, improve the quality of passenger service, improve the efficiency of exploitation at the airport, suitable to the circumstances and natural conditions of the area, bringing high economic and social efficiency.

In terms of scale, passenger terminal T2 will be designed with a capacity of 3 million passengers/year (equivalent to 1,200 passengers/peak hour) and has an expansion plan to increase capacity to 5 million passengers/year when needed (after 2030).

The station is designed with a scale of 2 floors above ground combined with a mezzanine with 2 separate departure and arrival levels. The total floor area of ​​the station is 17,567 m2.

At the same time, it is connected to the aircraft parking area with 3 entrances by passenger tube bridge code C and 1 entrance by cobus.

The terminal has 24 traditional check-in and baggage drop counters, two departure baggage conveyor belts and three arrival baggage return conveyor belts.
