In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance proposed a plan to arrange the headquarters of the former Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Administrative - Political Center (now in Ba Ria Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to serve as an educational and training facility and an operating facility of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy surveyed and sent a document requesting to receive this center.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy reported that the school seriously lacks development space; facilities do not meet the learning and working needs of 16,000 students, 6,000 staff of the school and the health care needs of the people.
The land of the Administrative - Political Center of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has an area of over 17.6 hectares and the existing facilities are very convenient for the operation of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
According to the Department of Finance, the plan to hand over the above land to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City aims to promote the effectiveness of land management and use, because it will centrally assign the management, use and operation... and at the same time facilitate the training and practice of medical staff.
In addition to the above land, the Department of Finance also proposed a real estate facility at 22 Le Loi (formerly Le Loi Hospital, Vung Tau Ward) with an area of nearly 16,000 square meters to be arranged as a branch of Thong Nhat Hospital.
The Department of Finance also proposed to arrange a centralized working headquarters for agencies and units of Ho Chi Minh City in the former working headquarters of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (179A Bach Dang, Ba Ria ward).
