The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has issued a notice of the conclusion of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc at the meeting of the Special Working Group to review and remove difficulties and obstacles for works, projects, and land plots in the city related to the proposal of V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company on a special mechanism for deploying charging stations for electric cars and motorbikes at public places.
Previously, on September 5, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee chaired a meeting of the Special Working Group to review and remove difficulties and obstacles for constructions, projects, and land plots in the city (Working Group) to consider, orient leadership, and direct the resolution of the proposal of V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company on a special mechanism for deploying charging stations for electric cars and motorbikes at public places.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Director of the Department of Construction to urgently review and update the city's planning towards developing a green transport infrastructure system, including a system of electric charging stations, providing clean and green fuel for vehicles. Prioritize the plan to exploit and use public land funds directly managed by the State and minimize the plan to use land under the use rights of households and individuals. Proactively implement according to assigned functions, tasks and powers, optimize administrative procedures, and do not seek opinions from unrelated agencies and units.
In parallel with the process of planning the development of green transport infrastructure systems, the Department of Construction advised the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the exploitation plan for public land locations planned for electric charging station systems for electric vehicles in accordance with legal regulations (land lease by auction method).
At the same time, urgently develop and promulgate regulations and instructions on the installation of electric charging stations for electric vehicles, ensuring safety in fire and explosion prevention; in accordance with planning and ensuring security and order on roadsides.
The Department of Construction also proposed mechanisms and preferential and supportive policies to encourage people and businesses to invest in developing energy supply systems for green transport vehicles in the city.
V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company has proposed 35 locations for electric vehicle charging stations in the city.
Regarding this matter, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to proactively coordinate and work with relevant units to agree on the location, location, and arrangement plan for the electric charging station system for electric vehicles as proposed by V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company. Synthesize reports, propose specific and feasible implementation plans and roadmaps, ensure legal basis and compliance with market mechanisms, and submit to the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for consideration and agreement on the policy before implementation.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested VinGroup to continue to accompany the city in implementing the Government's policy on green energy conversion, reducing carbon and methane emissions in the transportation sector in the city.
Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong was assigned to directly direct the above contents, ensuring quality and progress.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee acknowledged the proposal of V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company under VinGroup Corporation to cooperate with Thanh Nien Xung Phong Public Service Company Limited in exploiting public parking lots combined with installing electric charging stations for electric vehicles. It is recommended that V-Green Global Charging Station Development Joint Stock Company proactively contact Thanh Nien Xung Phong Public Service Company Limited to agree on a cooperation plan; report to competent authorities for consideration and implementation in accordance with legal regulations.
