Going to catch snails, 3 family members tragically drowned

On June 23, Phu My Town Police ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) said that the unit is investigating the tragic drowning case that killed 3 family members at Da Den Lake in Cau Moi Hamlet, Song Xoai Commune (Phu My Town).

The victims were identified as Nguyen Dinh C. (born in 1979), LTN (born in 2014) and LMT (born in 2016).

The scene of the tragic drowning incident is a construction site, dredging and renovating the lake bed.

Previously, at around 5:00 p.m. on June 22, when she returned home from work and did not see her husband and two children at home, unable to contact them, Ms. Nguyet (the victim's wife) and her relatives went to look for them.

Late at night on June 23, Ms. Nguyet discovered Mr. C's motorbike parked under a tree near the road in Cau Ri hamlet (Song Xoai commune). When she reached the edge of the lake, she discovered 3 pairs of sandals. Ms. Nguyet recognized them as her husband's and children's sandals, so she reported it to the authorities.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities arrived at the scene to search. At 5am the same day, the authorities found Mr. C's body. At around 10am, a group of divers from Da Den Lake came to assist in the dive and found the bodies of N. and T.

It is known that the area where the 3 victims drowned is the location where dredging, renovation, and material recovery of Da Den Lake is underway.

Regarding the tragic drowning incident, authorities initially determined that the victims all died from suffocation.
