Shared via the official Diablo Twitter account, Blizzard has confirmed that early development on Diablo IV is now complete and has reached Gone Gold status. In the run-up to its June release date, Blizzard will no doubt continue to work on the game and will likely have a major update on day one.

"Gone Gold is a major milestone for the Diablo IV development team, who have been working so hard to create the next installment in the Diablo franchise. This is a meaningful step toward our June 6 launch," said Rod Fergusson, GM of Diablo, in a press release accompanying the announcement.
