The working delegation on the warship Tran Hung Dao paid a courtesy visit to the Yokosuka city government.

On the afternoon of September 27, a Vietnamese Navy delegation led by Colonel Le Hong Chien, Deputy Commander of Naval Region 4, paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Yokosuka City; Commander of Yokosuka Base; Commander of Yokosuka Coast Guard; and Chief of Yokosuka Police.

Colonel Le Hong Chien thanked the government and functional forces of Yokosuka city for the warm welcome given to the Vietnamese Navy delegation and officers and sailors of the warship Tran Hung Dao (ship 015 - Tran Hung Dao).

Colonel Le Hong Chien affirmed: The working trip of the Tran Hung Dao warship to visit Japan aims to concretize the foreign policy of the Party, State and Vietnam People's Army in the military and defense fields, to strengthen and develop friendly relations, cooperation and build trust with the Japanese navy, army and people.

The visit is also one of the contents to implement the agreement between the two countries' senior leaders on the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations; and to deploy the joint vision statement on defense cooperation for the next decade between the two countries ' Defense Ministries .

Over the years, Japan and Vietnam have had many cooperation contents, including in the field of defense.

According to plan, after ending the visit in Yokosuka, the warship Tran Hung Dao will continue its journey to visit Sakai port, Osaka province, Japan.
