Enterprises offer ideas, the province is determined to accompany

The Provincial People's Committee recently held a meeting to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day (October 13) with the participation of more than 600 enterprises and businessmen. Provincial leaders affirmed their determination to accompany and create a favorable, transparent and sustainable investment and business environment so that enterprises can develop with peace of mind and contribute more to their homeland.

Proactively offer ideas

At the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Tran Van Lau emphasized that the provincial business associations must be the bridge between the government and the business community. In addition, the team of entrepreneurs and businesses need to boldly share the difficulties and obstacles in the production and business process; frankly contribute specific opinions and recommendations so that the provincial leaders can promptly grasp, listen and accompany businesses, proactively contribute ideas and suggestions on mechanisms, policies and development orientations of the province in the new period.

From there, together build practical solutions, innovate creatively in production and business activities, contributing to improving the province's competitiveness and resilience in the integration and development process.

Mr. Tran Van Duc - Chairman of the Business Association of Ben Tre Province (old) proposed to soon issue a master plan for the development of Vinh Long Province in the new period. This is a very important basis for enterprises to have a basis for investment orientation, expand industries, and choose fields suitable for the general development strategy. Specify strategies for developing key industries and fields, especially clean energy and marine economy, so that enterprises can have appropriate investment orientation, avoiding fragmentation and lack of uniformity. In addition, the province issued specific policies to support enterprises applying high technology, especially enterprises processing agricultural products, coconut products and local specialty products.

“The province needs to pay special attention to supporting investors and enterprises in investment procedures and business registration. Because it is currently only implemented at the provincial level, the People's Committee at the commune level does not have this function, so enterprises in the old Ben Tre area that need to adjust related documents must contact the Department of Finance. In addition, the National Public Service system is often congested, many enterprises have not received timely support, causing difficulties and wasting time for enterprises,” said Mr. Duc.

Perfecting mechanisms and policies

Mr. Nguyen Tuong Nam - Chairman of the Association of Enterprises of Vinh Long Province (old), suggested that the province prioritize investment in strategic traffic connections and investment in infrastructure in the province. In addition, the province has a policy of strongly supporting enterprises investing in clean technology, saving energy, promoting the circular economic model and green credit; effectively operating the Fund for Supporting Innovative Startups, encouraging the development of science and technology enterprises, applying digital transformation...

Mr. Tram Minh Thuan - representative of Long Hiep Agricultural Cooperative, suggested that the province continue to improve support mechanisms and policies in line with the reality of cooperatives, especially in accessing preferential credit and applying high technology in agricultural production. Strengthen training and fostering of cooperative management staff in management, market and digitalization skills. In addition, the province needs to support and promote the connection of cooperatives with enterprises and distributors, especially in trade promotion programs and agricultural supply chains.

Many businesses also expressed that the province needs to make the most of its potential and advantages in developing seaport systems, logistics, renewable energy, and green energy.

The representative of the investor of Dinh An Economic Zone said that currently, large enterprises are very interested in green energy and renewable energy issues and the province can completely meet this demand. The representative of C2T Media and Tourism Company Limited proposed that the province should build a Green Tourism and Indigenous Culture Creation Fund to support enterprises in developing unique products.

In particular, green credit is prioritized for enterprises applying ESG-SDGs (United Nations Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs and environmental, social and governance standards - ESG), in the fields of tourism, agriculture, and craft villages. At the same time, the "Green Mekong Entrepreneurs" Alliance is established to share initiatives and connect domestic and international markets.

Talking to the business community, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Head of the Economic Zone Management Board said: "To encourage investment and create momentum for industrial development, the province has implemented many outstanding incentive policies in accordance with regulations. In addition to investment incentive policies, the province has paid special attention to strongly improving the investment and business environment through promoting administrative procedure reform and comprehensive digital transformation, shortening the time to process investment, land, construction, environment records, etc. These efforts have been contributing to improving the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), strengthening the confidence of businesses, creating a solid foundation for the province to become an attractive locality for domestic and foreign investors."

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi said that the province will deploy practical solutions to support and accompany the business community and entrepreneurs in sustainable development. Accordingly, the province will support businesses to fully access information, thereby helping businesses orient and build appropriate production and business strategies and plans, contributing to improving competitiveness in the context of digital transformation and modern technology development.

“The province will continue to promote administrative reform, minimize the time to handle administrative procedures, and create the most favorable conditions for production and business activities. In addition, Vinh Long will strengthen dialogue between the government and enterprises to promptly grasp and remove difficulties and obstacles, and effectively support production and business activities. Publicize and make transparent information, mechanisms, and policies, ensuring easy access for enterprises. Continue to encourage and motivate the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development in the business community, creating a strong driving force to promote sustainable development” - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Lu Quang Ngoi said.

Provincial Party Secretary - Tran Van Lau emphasized: The province always encourages and creates favorable conditions in terms of mechanisms, policies as well as investment and business environment for the business community to maximize its potential and advantages, keeping up with the development trend in the integration era, in line with the major orientations and policies of the Party and State on developing the private economy into an important driving force of the economy.
