In the process of digital transformation, many businesses feel "overwhelmed" by complex technologies, leading to inconsistent and fragmented working experiences.
In recent years, in the context of the post-pandemic world, with many changes in the global geopolitical situation, businesses are increasingly worried about how to survive and develop. Digital transformation and technology application are considered the most feasible solutions to this story.
KPMG Vietnam's data shows that businesses all agree that digital transformation brings benefits to them in all aspects such as increasing employee satisfaction and customer experience.
This is also the reason why up to 57% of businesses said they are investing in technologies related to AI, machine learning, generative AI, followed by technologies such as edge computing, robotics and automation, metaverse...
Digital transformation expert Nguyen Thuong Tuong Minh said that in the current challenging environment, in the past 2-3 years, many businesses have had to tighten their operations and find new sources of revenue to survive and develop.
“ The question is how to increase revenue and reduce expenses? How to increase revenue when opportunities are increasingly scarce, how to save costs to avoid resource loss? The solution is not only software development but also requires a profound philosophy in the operation process to touch the root of the problem, ” said the digital transformation expert.
However, according to a study by Dell Technologies, during the digital transformation process, 60% of respondents in Vietnam feel “overwhelmed” by complex technologies, which bring about inconsistent and fragmented working experiences across different platforms. This is the challenge that Vietnamese businesses face during the digital transformation process.
In fact, the problem that a system consisting of many separate software often encounters is that although software is used, operations are still based on manual work, posing potential risks due to errors during operations.
Businesses also have to spend a lot of effort if they want to use a new software into the existing system. Therefore, the desire of many businesses is to integrate new and old software together in a useful way.
In that context, to make digital transformation easier, businesses not only need software but also a new type of software system that is highly interactive and easy to use.
“ This will help maximize the amount of investment in information technology. It is not 3 coins to buy 3 software anymore, but 3 software plus the synergistic value from the interaction between them, this value is time, resources and money ”, the expert shared.
According to experts, modern software systems must answer the following questions: automating communication between software in the network, standardizing and enriching information between software, and easily adding and removing software nodes when necessary.

In fact, of the 2,100 businesses surveyed by KPMG, 66% said that collecting and analyzing data helped them generate profit growth in the past 12 months.
