Specifically, according to the announcement of Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott), in the drawing on October 31, 2023 of the Power 6/55 lottery, Vietlott found 1 customer winning Jackpot 1 worth 173,149,875,300 VND and 1 customer winning Jackpot 2 worth 3,727,385,950 VND.

Two Jackpot prizes "exploded" simultaneously today

Both customers bought tickets at points of sale in Ho Chi Minh City. The first point of sale is at 374 Pham The Hien, Ward 3, District 8, Ho Chi Minh City. The second point of sale is at 1247/1 Provincial Road 43, Binh Chieu Ward, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City.

However, Vietlott has not yet determined which of the two above-mentioned points of sale issued the Jackpot 1 winning lottery ticket.

According to the lottery results, the number sequence to determine Jackpot 1 is: 10 – 16 – 17 – 28 – 37 – 42. The special number to determine Jackpot 2 is: 43.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Finance in Circular No. 111/2013/TT-BTC, the owner of the winning ticket will have to fulfill the tax obligation according to current regulations when receiving the prize. The lucky customer who wins this jackpot will have to pay 10% personal income tax on the total prize amount exceeding 10 million VND.

Thus, the customer who won Jackpot 1 today must pay more than 17 billion VND in personal income tax to the Ho Chi Minh City budget. Similarly, the person who won Jackpot 2 must also pay more than 370 million VND to the local budget.
