Impressive journey of Vietnamese cuisine
The competition brings together talented bakers and chefs from many countries, competing in top categories to demonstrate their skills and creativity.
Under the organization and guidance of the Saigon Professional Chefs Association (under the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association), young Vietnamese chefs have successfully conquered the international jury, bringing home 18 medals: 4 Gold, 13 Silver and 1 Bronze.
Personal Achievement List
In particular, Chef Le Phuong Thy won the prestigious title “The Best Young Chef”, an award that affirms the talent and mettle of the Vietnamese chef generation in the international arena.
Besides Le Phuong Thy with 1 Gold and 2 Silver, many other members also contributed to the miracle:
• Chef Chu Thi Diem Quynh, Chef Phan Van Tinh, Chef Nguyen Truong Huynh, each won 1 Gold Medal.
• Chef Ly Thai Tuan and Chef Dao Thu Huyen, each won 2 Silver Medals.
• Chef Vu Quoc Chung, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze.
• Chefs Le Thi Lan Anh, Thai Thinh, Tran Thi Vi Khuyen, Nguyen Thi Dao, each 1 Silver.
This list of achievements has created a comprehensive medal table, affirming the maturity of the Vietnamese team in the regional arena.
Aspiration to elevate Vietnamese cuisine
The medals are not only a source of personal pride but also a testament to the desire to bring the quintessence of Vietnamese cuisine far and wide. The chefs have created from familiar ingredients, breathing life into each cake, telling the story of Vietnamese culture through flavor and presentation.
The judges, including big names such as Chef Kenny Kong, Chef Gary Lim, Chef Leslie and Chef Eric Kim, all highly appreciated the uniqueness and identity of the Vietnamese team.
Mr. Vu The Binh, Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association emphasized: "This is a glorious achievement for the Vietnamese culinary industry, affirming Vietnam's position on the world culinary map."
Ms. Nguyen Thi Khanh, Vice President of Vietnam Tourism Association, President of Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association shared: “In an arena that gathers culinary elites from around the world, the Vietnamese team has shone with creativity, professionalism and passion. You have told cultural stories through flavors, proving that Vietnamese cuisine has its own identity, class and position.”
She added: “Today's victory is not the destination but the beginning of the journey to elevate Vietnamese cuisine in the international arena.”

This success comes from the persistent companionship of the Saigon Professional Chefs Association and the strong support of businesses.
In particular, Nhat Huong Group, a pioneer in the field of baking and beverage ingredients, plays an important role in building a comprehensive ecosystem, accompanying the generation of young Vietnamese chefs on the path to international stature.
Ms. Kieu Oanh, Head of the Vietnamese delegation, emotionally shared: “Closing a brilliant but challenging journey, the team has successfully conquered a series of prestigious medals. This success once again affirms that Vietnam is not only an attractive tourist destination but also a cradle of creative culinary talents.”
Asian Pastry Young Chefs Challenge 2025 is a prestigious international competition organized by Food2China Expo, Guangdong Imported Food Association, Constellar Worldex, Chinese Cuisine Association and JIYI (Shenzhen) Cultural Committee, under the recognition of Worldchefs.
This is a gathering place for talented bakers and chefs from many countries, competing in top categories, creating an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its identity and culinary strength on the world map.
