Tran Island Border Guard Station presents national flags to fishermen

On August 22, Tran Island Border Guard Station (Border Guard of Quang Ninh province) organized a ceremony to present national flags to fishermen in the sea and islands under the unit's management.

At the program, the unit awarded 65 national flags to fishing vessels and fishermen; at the same time, combined propaganda, dissemination, and education of laws on seas and islands, mobilizing fishermen to fight against illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

This activity has practical significance, motivating and encouraging fishermen to continue going out to sea; at the same time spreading patriotism, arousing national pride, promoting the role of fishermen in participating in protecting the sovereignty of the sacred sea and islands of the Fatherland.
