The scale and capital source for the total area of replacement forests in Dong Nai province in 2026 is 620.06 hectares. Of which, the forest area is classified by purpose of use including: 23.37 hectares of special-use forests, 558.49 hectares of protection forests and 38.20 hectares of production forests.

The total estimated cost for implementing replacement forest planting and care is determined to be nearly 76 billion VND. This source of capital is taken from the replacement forest planting money submitted by project owners to the Provincial Agriculture and Environment Fund.

The area of replacement forestation in the 2026 plan is synthesized from many resolutions of the Provincial People's Council and other directive documents. Notably, most of the area comes from the implementation of replacement forestation according to Decision No. 1851/QD-UBND and Decision No. 1852/QD-UBND dated July 10, 2022 of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province (old) with 474.83 hectares.

The main projects requiring replacement afforestation in 2026 include: The area according to Resolution No. 08/NQ-HDND dated July 8, 2025 of the Provincial People's Council is 131.69 hectares. The area according to Document No. 660/TTg-NN dated July 22, 2022 of the Prime Minister (Tan Phu, Dong Nai - Bao Loc, Lam Dong expressway project) is 7.56 hectares. The areas from Resolution No. 43/NQ-HDND dated October 15, 2024 and Resolution No. 15/NQ-HDND dated February 27, 2025 of the Provincial People's Council with a total of 5.98 hectares.

The period for implementing new planting and taking care of replacement forests lasts from 2026 to 2030. The planting will be carried out at Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve and the protection forest management boards (QLRPH): Xuan Loc, Long Thanh, Dak Mai, Bu Dang.

Five units were assigned as investors in reforestation with specific areas as follows: Bu Dang Forest Protection Management Board (513.03ha), Xuan Loc Forest Protection Management Board (40ha), Dak Mai Forest Protection Management Board (30ha), Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve (23.37ha) and Long Thanh Forest Protection Management Board (13.66ha).

Regarding technical solutions, the plan requires the selection of tree species suitable for ecological conditions, including: Sao den, Dau rai, Go do, Giang huong, Trac, Gao vang. The planting density is 833 trees/ha (can be adjusted). In particular, it is necessary to ensure the survival rate of trees ≥85%, strictly follow the technical process so that the planted forest becomes a forest, reaching the survival rate according to regulations.

The Provincial People's Committee directs investors in replacement forest planting to be responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for the progress, quality and results of replacement forest planting.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to preside over the appraisal of designs and estimates, organize inspections and supervision of forest planting work and report annual implementation results to the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Forestry and Forestry before December 15.
