Speaking at the opening ceremony, British Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City - Alex Smith said that on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam - UK Strategic Partnership and welcoming the Royal Navy ship to visit Ho Chi Minh City from September 22 - 25, 2025, the British Embassy in Vietnam and the British Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City have jointly organized the event "UK Summer Festival".

Notably, in just the first 9 months of 2025, with the active support of the British Consulate General, Ho Chi Minh City has successfully signed 03 Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) of cooperation with British partners with Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnamese localities in general always attach importance to promoting cooperation with the UK, and at the same time commit to creating favorable conditions for the British business community and investors to cooperate and do business long-term in Vietnam.
