DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF DONG NAI PROVINCE SOLEMNLY ORGANIZED A MEETING TO CELEBRATE THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TRADITIONAL DAY OF THE DIPLOMACY SECTOR AND SUMMARY OF THE FIRST 8 MONTHS OF 2025

On the morning of August 28, 2025, at the Department of Foreign Affairs of Dong Nai province, a solemn meeting was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam's Diplomacy (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) and to review foreign affairs work in the first 8 months of 2025. This is an important event, not only to review the 80-year glorious history of Vietnam's Diplomacy but also to affirm Dong Nai's efforts and achievements on the foreign affairs and international integration front.

The event was honored to have the participation and direction of comrade Le Truong Son, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with former leaders of the Department through the periods and leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors and units such as the Provincial Police, Border Guard Command, Department of Construction, Department of Finance, Department of Home Affairs, Union of Friendship Organizations and member Associations, border communes.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Be Nam, Director of Dong Nai Department of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that 2025 is a proud historical milestone: 80 years of formation and development of Vietnam's Diplomatic Service, a "front without gunfire". Over the past 8 decades, the Diplomatic Service has made great contributions to the national revolutionary cause, from the struggle for national liberation and reunification to the cause of innovation and integration. Vietnam's diplomacy today has become one of the important pillars, contributing to maintaining a peaceful environment, attracting resources and enhancing national prestige in the international arena.
Imbued with that spirit, Dong Nai Department of Foreign Affairs, although quite young, with 20 years of striving and growing, under the leadership of provincial leaders and Department leaders through the periods, Dong Nai Department of Foreign Affairs ( on the basis of merging Binh Phuoc Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs and the Foreign Affairs Department under the Office of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee from July 1, 2025) has constantly made efforts to build the apparatus, perfect the functions and tasks of the departments; proactively advise and deploy foreign affairs activities, strengthen international cooperation , connect friendships, and well manage the peaceful and friendly border, contributing significantly to the cause of economic - cultural - social development and international integration of the province.

On this occasion, the Board of Directors of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Dong Nai province expressed gratitude to the leaders of the Department through the periods and summarized the activities of the industry in the first 8 months of the year and deployed tasks in the last 4 months of 2025.

Through the report, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Department of Foreign Affairs in the past time. At the same time, he also gave directions for the coming time, emphasizing the continued effective implementation, development of plans and action programs to implement Resolution 59-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Politburo on international integration and Directive No. 15-CT/TW dated August 10, 2022 of the Secretariat. on promoting economic diplomacy , turning major policies into practical actions, constantly innovating and creating. The provincial leaders also requested the Department of Foreign Affairs to coordinate in reviewing and proposing adjustments to spending mechanisms, perfecting border maintenance procedures and adding personnel to ensure effective work.
