TPO - July 28 is the deadline for commercial operation, but up to now, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station elevated section (from Nhon Station to Cau Giay) urban railway project is still "inactive", not welcoming passengers as planned.

Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro project continues to miss deadlines

Regarding the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station urban railway line, recently, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Hanoi People's Committee to be responsible for directing relevant agencies and units to urgently complete tasks, contents and procedures such as coordinating with agencies of the Ministry of Transport to complete the appraisal and issuance of System Safety Certificates according to regulations; environmental licensing procedures on July 20.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested to complete the procedures for inspecting and accepting the project before July 26, 2024, ensuring the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station elevated section is put into commercial operation before July 28, with no delay in completion progress.

However, as of July 30, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro project is still "inactive", showing no signs of operation.

In recent days, the elevated stations of this railway line have remained closed.

The entrance to Le Duc Tho station is protected by barbed wire fences, and the elevators are covered with tarpaulins.

At Cau Dien station, after heavy rains, the shabby scene reappeared.

The train station corridor was occupied by people to store goods.

Up to now, the construction progress of the elevated section of the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line has reached 100%. Currently, 10 trains of the project have completed the test run and have been granted license plates for operation by the Vietnam Register. However, the project is currently being evaluated, appraised and accepted by specialized agencies, so the trains can only operate after this work is completed.
