
On October 11, the Management Board of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park ( Quang Tri ) - said that in the first 9 months of 2025, tourist routes and destinations in the National Park welcomed more than 836,900 visitors, showing a strong boom in local tourism.
Of which, domestic visitors accounted for more than 688,000 arrivals, up 2% over the same period last year. Notably, international visitors reached more than 148,000 arrivals, up 18%, marking a clear improvement in Quang Tri's tourism industry.
Phong Nha - Ke Bang Tourism Center is still the most "attractive" destination with more than 481,000 visitors, followed by Thien Duong Cave Ecotourism Area with more than 298,000 visitors; Phong Nha Botanical Garden and associated ecotourism routes also attracted more than 55,000 visitors in the same period...

Mr. Pham Hong Thai, Director of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board, said that this result comes from the synchronous implementation of many stimulus programs, introducing new products and promoting digital. In addition, the work of ensuring security, safety and environmental sanitation at tourist routes and destinations is regularly maintained, helping visitors have safe and friendly experiences.
"We have identified the core task as developing tourism associated with conservation. The park is building high-quality eco-tourism products, expanding new discovery routes while still ensuring sustainability and safety," said Mr. Thai.
According to the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board, the unit's goal is to strongly attract international visitors, striving to exceed the 1 million visitor mark in 2025, affirming Phong Nha - Ke Bang's position as the leading eco-tourism and exploration destination in Vietnam.
Currently, Phong Nha - Ke Bang continues to be a prominent destination of Quang Tri tourism, chosen by domestic and foreign tourists for their journey to explore the "kingdom of caves" and experience eco-tourism in the majestic mountains of the Central region.
6 caves in Quang Tri are selected as must-see destinations
Recently, the prestigious international travel magazine Travel and Leisure has introduced and selected 6 caves in Quang Tri as destinations not to be missed when exploring Vietnam.
These caves offer adventurous experiences such as trekking, boating, and river crossing. Highlights include Son Doong Cave - the largest in the world, En Cave - the third largest with its own forest inside; Phong Nha Cave - visitors can take a boat ride on the underground river, exploring the unique rock formations of the cave.
Thien Duong Cave with a system of wooden stairs helps visitors easily explore the beautiful limestone formations. Tu Lan cave system is famous for its pristine underground rivers and spectacular limestone formations. Va Cave with emerald green water, this cave is known for its unique and distinctive cone-shaped stalagmites.
