Hanoi tourism puts up "Standard Restaurant" sign to serve tourists

Head of the Department of Accommodation Management (Hanoi Department of Tourism) Trinh Xuan Tung said that to be recognized as a "Standard Restaurant" requires the business unit to meet the criteria specified in the Law on Tourism.

Specifically, information on product quality, products must have listed prices and be sold at listed prices, food items must be hygienic, have equipment for processing and preserving food; have menus in Vietnamese and English; staff must be trained in food safety and hygiene, and have a civilized and polite attitude during service.

“Restaurants that are granted the standard sign to serve tourists are important in improving service quality, business efficiency, and diversifying tourism products. Businesses that are granted the standard sign to serve tourists have the opportunity to affirm their brand and build trust with customers, creating competitiveness for businesses, contributing to the overall development of Hanoi's tourism industry,” said Mr. Tung.

In fact, after the service establishments were granted the standard sign to serve tourists, they are promoting their role well in connecting with travel agencies to serve tourists. Therefore, in the coming time, Hanoi tourism industry will continue to develop the system of these establishments.

Deputy Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Thuong Tin district, Tran Thi Lan, informed that currently in the district there are 4 tourist spots of ornamental craft villages including Duyen Thai, Van Diem, Thuy Ung, Hong Van. In the coming time, Thuong Tin district will continue to encourage business people to upgrade their service quality to meet the standards according to the Law on Tourism, thereby being awarded the "Standard Restaurant" recognition sign to serve tourists.
