Railway signs welcome the Government Party Congress

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the afternoon of October 8, the Party Committee of Vietnam Railways Corporation held a ceremony to attach a plaque to the project to welcome the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

The report of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam Railway Corporation said that the Party Committee of the Corporation has registered the project "Upgrading and renovating 20 passenger cars serving passengers on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route" as a typical project to welcome the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

The project has a total investment of more than 101 billion VND, with the participation of 350 officers, engineers, workers, replacing and renovating 18 A56 carriages and 2 A34 carriages, bringing a new look in terms of vehicle quality, utilities, aesthetics and technology.

In terms of design and technique, the entire exterior and roof of the car are meticulously crafted; painted in red and gray-white, with the highlight being the image of the royal poinciana flower - the cultural symbol of Hai Phong City. Inside, the A56 carriage is equipped with 56 360-degree rotating seats; two A34 carriages (VIP) are luxuriously designed with sofas, bars, paintings, relaxation and check-in spaces. At the same time, the semi-automatic door system, air conditioning with even air distribution, modern lighting and sound systems, information boards and train times are displayed on LCD screens.

The project was completed in a short time, but was put into official operation on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route from May 10, 2025. After more than 4 months of operation, the Hoa Phuong trains have transported nearly 607,000 passengers, with revenue reaching 67 billion VND, equal to 147% over the same period; contributing to the passenger transport results from the beginning of the year to date on the entire Hanoi - Hai Phong route reaching nearly 1.1 million passengers, with revenue of more than 109 billion VND, equal to 130% over the same period.

Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee Lai Xuan Lam presented the decision of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee recognizing the project to welcome the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee to the representative of the Party Committee of Vietnam Railway Corporation.

Innovation from specific actions

Speaking at the ceremony to attach the project's plaque, Mr. Lai Xuan Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, said that in the past time, towards the 1st Government Party Congress, Party committees at all levels in the entire Party Committee have launched many exciting emulation movements; many projects and products have been registered, deployed and attached with plaques to welcome the Congress.

In particular, the typical project "Upgrading and renovating 20 passenger cars serving the Hanoi - Hai Phong route", implemented by the Party Committee of Vietnam Railway Corporation, is not only a simple technical product, but also a testament to the leadership strength of the Party organization, the spirit of patriotic emulation and the will to innovate and create of the collective of cadres, party members and workers of the railway industry.

"Today's project is an important first step, demonstrating the spirit of "innovation from specific actions"; giving us the belief that if we know how to take advantage of intelligence and initiatives, if we are determined to improve from the smallest details, the Railway industry can completely create bigger breakthroughs, gradually affirming its position in the national transport system", the Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee emphasized and suggested that the entire Railway industry consider this as a driving force to further promote the emulation movement, linking the completion of production and business tasks with building a clean and strong Party organization.

Strive to have 2 projects/works start and inaugurate on December 19

Mr. Dang Sy Manh, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railways Corporation, said that in 2025, the railway has launched many typical transport products that are loved by passengers such as Hoa Phuong Do train, Hanoi - 5 Cua O train, along with the following achievements: Being honored in the category of Best Tourist Transport Enterprise for 5 consecutive years at the Vietnam Tourism Awards Ceremony 2025; participating well in the exhibition of 80 years of the journey "Independence - Freedom - Happiness", being commended...

"In the coming time, the entire Party Committee of the Corporation, the collective of cadres, party members and workers will strive to compete, determined to overcome all difficulties, and achieve many achievements to welcome the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee and the 14th National Party Congress. The important task ahead is to have at least 2 works/projects participating in projects nationwide to start or inaugurate on December 19," Mr. Manh said, adding that the railway plans to select the project to renovate and upgrade 156 train cars and the Kep station expansion project to improve service quality.
