At about 4:00 a.m. on October 7, a tornado suddenly swept through the Tuong residential area, Chu Van An ward, Hai Phong city.

The tornado did not cause any human damage but blew off the roofs of some houses, knocked down electric poles, walls, and trees of residents of Chu Van An ward.

According to the Hai Phong City Hydrometeorological Station, radar monitoring shows that convective clouds are developing and causing rain in Hung Yen and Bac Ninh , moving towards Hai Phong City.

It is forecasted that in the next few hours, convective clouds will continue to develop, causing showers and thunderstorms in the western and northwestern areas of the city such as: Mao Dien, Cam Giang, Cam Giang, Tue Tinh, Viet Hoa, Thach Khoi, Gia Loc, Ke Sat, Binh Giang, Duong An, Thuong Hong, Yet Kieu, Gia Phuc, Truong Tan, Bac Thanh Mien, Nam Thanh Mien, Nguyen Luong Bang, Chi Linh, Chu Van An, Hop Tien, Le Dai Hanh, Tran Phu, Thai Tan, An Phu, Nam An Phu, Nam Sach, Dai Sen, Hai Tay, Thanh Ha, Ha Bac, Viet Ha, Tu Minh, Tan Hung, Thanh Dong, Ai Quoc, Hai Duong , Le Thanh Nghi, Nam Dong, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Trai, Tran Nhan Tong, Lai Khe. Then expanding to other areas.
