EVNNPC: Many key production and business targets exceeded the set plan

(Chinhphu.vn) - In the first 6 months of 2025, the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) has ensured safe, stable and continuous power supply, well meeting the needs of socio-economic development and people's lives. Key indicators such as commercial electricity output and power loss rate have all reached and exceeded the plan assigned by EVN.

EVNNPC achieved and exceeded many production and business targets.

Mr. Nguyen Song Thao, Head of Planning Department of the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC), said that in the first 6 months of 2025, EVNNPC has successfully completed many planning targets assigned by Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), contributing to ensuring stable and continuous power supply to serve socio -economic development and people's lives in 27 northern provinces and cities.

EVNNPC has proactively developed and implemented safe power supply plans during important holidays and events such as the Lunar New Year, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South on April 30, as well as the high school graduation exam and university and vocational education admissions in 2025.

The power grid operation system is guaranteed to be stable and uninterrupted, meeting the requirements of localities and people in the first 6 months of 2025.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the total commercial electricity output reached 50.27 billion kWh, up 5.49% over the same period. Of which: the construction industry increased by 6.85%, the consumer management sector increased by 1.74%, the trade and service sector increased by 6.22%; the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 13.28%, and other activities increased by 9.12%.

Cumulative electricity loss by commodity cycle in the first 6 months of 2025 reached 3.52%. Along with that, EVNNPC has performed well in indicators related to electricity access and customer service.

Accordingly, by the end of June 2025, 19/27 EVNNPC Power Companies had eliminated 100% of cash collection counters, contributing to bringing the rate of customers paying electricity bills without cash to 95.76%, an increase of 7.18% over the same period in 2024 and exceeding 0.76% compared to the plan assigned by EVN.

Revenue through non-cash payment channels reached 99.1%, this is the result of the Corporation promoting digital transformation and improving customer experience in the digital environment.

In the first 6 months of 2025, EVNNPC started 17 110kV projects and energized 50 projects, focusing resources on implementing key projects and projects to renovate and upgrade medium- and low-voltage grids, and projects to operate medium-voltage grids according to the multi-split - multi-connection model.

Many projects to improve grid operation capacity have also been accelerated, contributing to ensuring stable, safe and reliable electricity supply to serve socio-economic development and people's daily needs.

Urgently complete the streamlining of the apparatus

In carrying out the work of streamlining the apparatus, EVNNPC has thoroughly grasped the spirit of innovation and reorganization according to the direction of EVN, on the basis of the overall plan for streamlining the apparatus of EVNNPC approved by EVN.

Accordingly, EVNNPC terminated the operation of 262 affiliated Power Companies and replaced them with 262 Regional Power Management Teams. Established an additional Bach Long Vi Regional Power Management Team in Hai Phong .

The multi-year intermediary model was eliminated, and the Regional Power Management Team was given greater autonomy, helping to handle work more quickly and closer to the grid and customers.

The Electricity One Member Limited Liability Companies: Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Ninh Binh were merged into the parent company of EVNNPC, converted to operate under the model of dependent accounting Branch, synchronous legal model in the whole system.

This reorganization is in line with Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 dated June 12, 2025 of the National Assembly on reorganization of provincial-level administrative units. It demonstrates EVNNPC's proactive role in the administrative reform process and improving operational efficiency. This is one of the most comprehensive and profound restructurings in EVNNPC's 56-year history.
