Coffee prices today on the world market
According to the coffee price update, on the ICE exchange, the world coffee price is not recording any change. Specifically, on the ICE Futures Europe exchange:
Specifically, on the exchange, the price of coffee futures 09/25 was at 4,817 USD/ton. The price of futures 11/25 was 4,601 USD/ton. The price of futures 01/26 was 4,527 USD/ton. The price of futures 03/26 was 4,454 USD/ton. Finally, the price of futures 05/26 was 4,392 USD/ton.
Next, the price of Arabica coffee for September 25 delivery is at 410.65 cents/lb. The price for December 25 delivery is at 396.85 cents/lb. The price for March 26 delivery is at 382.35 cents/lb. The futures for May 26 are at 369.80 cents/lb and the futures for July 26 are at 356.40 cents/lb.
The global coffee market is experiencing a period of strong volatility with a clear upward trend in prices. The main driving force is tight supply and adverse weather factors in major producing countries.
The heavy rains have hampered the harvest, raising concerns about yields. This has led to premiums for Sumatran Robusta coffee falling or even turning into discounts, reflecting an immediate shortage of supply in the market.
Reports from several reputable organizations (Conab, Safras & Mercato, StoneX, Itaú BBA) all show a mixed picture for Brazil's 2025-2026 crop:
The consensus forecasts are that Arabica production will decline sharply compared to the previous season. The main reasons are the “bad year” cycle and adverse weather.
In contrast, Robusta output is forecast to hit a record high, partially offsetting the decline in Arabica.
This suggests that while Brazil's total coffee production may not fall too far, the imbalance between the two main coffee varieties could continue to put pressure on Arabica prices.
Domestic coffee prices today September 15, 2025
Coffee prices today in the four Central Highlands provinces of Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Gia Lai and Dak Nong all remained stable and remained high.
Specifically, Gia Lai continues to keep coffee prices at 120,200 VND/kg.
In Dak Lak and Lam Dong, coffee prices are both high, with coffee prices in Dak Lak at 120,200 VND/kg and in Lam Dong at 119,800 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, Dak Nong holds the highest level in the region, coffee price in Dak Nong is at 120,500 VND/kg.
The domestic coffee market is quite quiet as traders wait for the new crop of 2025-2026. However, export activities still grow impressively. In the first 8 months of 2025, Vietnam exported 1.1 million tons of coffee, up 7.8% compared to the same period. This proves that international demand is still very high, even when domestic supply is low.
Supply from Vietnam is running low ahead of the new season, while Indonesia is facing weather challenges. Brazil, despite a record Robusta crop, is seeing a sharp decline in Arabica output, which will continue to support prices.
Weather remains a big unknown. Drought in Brazil and heavy rains in Indonesia could impact next season’s crop and be a key driver of further price increases.
Global inventories are currently low, leaving the market vulnerable to any supply shocks, which analysts say will be one of the factors that will keep coffee prices volatile in the coming months.
The global coffee market is in a cycle of low supply and high demand, supported by weather factors and inventories. With these developments, the possibility of coffee prices remaining high and possibly continuing to increase in the near future is very high.
