A warm family comes from love and sharing

Family happiness is not only built from love but also from sharing, understanding and responsibility of each member. These simple values have become the “key” to keep the fire of happiness, raise children to adulthood, and build a sustainable home.

1. “He is a person who cares for his wife and children. In the family, he does not hesitate to do anything and is always willing to share everything with me. That helps me feel secure and happy. Thanks to that, we can overcome difficult times and build happiness together,” said Ms. Huynh Thi Anh Thi about her husband - Mr. Tran Phuoc Thanh (residing in Tan An ward, Tay Ninh province).

Ms. Thi said that they met when they were both teachers in a remote commune of the province. At that time, their lives were still difficult, living far from their families, so they had to shoulder everything themselves. As both teachers, they understood each other better and created conditions for each other to take care of their families and complete their professional tasks well.

“With the school’s support, my husband and I often have different teaching hours, so when one goes to school, the other takes care of the children and does housework. The family is shared, so each member has the responsibility to take care of it,” Thanh shared.

Thi and Thanh's family pay special attention to family meals, because that is where the whole family gathers together, tells each other stories about school and work, and encourages each other to strive and persevere in work and study.

Like many other families, love, sharing, understanding and creating conditions for each individual to develop are the foundation of happiness in Thi and Thanh's family. In addition to working and studying, they also focus on exercising and encouraging their children to play sports to develop their physical strength. Every day, they spend about 1 hour exercising.

Ms. Thi said: “My husband and I always try to set an example for our children. We practice hard so that our children can watch their parents and make efforts. Thanks to that, my eldest son avoids the risk of obesity. Now, even though he goes to school far from home, he still keeps the habit of playing sports, both to relax and to exercise. I am very happy about that.”

Thi and Thanh’s two children both maintain good academic records and are the pride of their parents. Raised in an environment filled with love, their parents create conditions for them to develop comprehensively and confidently pursue their dreams.

2. Educating children with love, giving them the opportunity to express themselves and pursue their passions is the way that Mr. Tran Cong Tam and Mrs. Le Thi Tac (living in Binh Thanh commune) choose to educate their children. "Parents need to listen to and respect their children's opinions, they cannot impose in the "spare the rod and spoil the child" way. Parents should accompany and guide them instead of forcing them, because today's youth need independence" - Mr. Tam affirmed. At retirement age, seeing their children grow up, have a career and a stable life is the joy of the grandparents.

Mr. Tam said that both of them were teachers, volunteered to serve the border area and then stayed with this land until today. In the early days, life was still full of hardships, Mr. Tam taught and farmed while Mrs. Tac did extra business outside of class. The consensus of the couple helped their life become more and more stable. Sympathy and support for each other is the "secret" to a warm and happy family.

“If a husband and wife are jealous of each other, how can they take good care of the family? As husband and wife, they must support each other and take care of the children together. There is no job in the house that is only for women; housework is a shared responsibility,” Mr. Tam affirmed.

At retirement age, the joy of Mr. Tran Cong Tam and Mrs. Le Thi Tac is the maturity of their children.

Not only focusing on educating their children, Mr. Tam and Mrs. Tac also devoted much effort to preserving the traditional family lifestyle. No matter how busy they are, they still try to hold family meals. For them, it is a precious time to share joys and sorrows and strengthen their bond.

Mr. Tam confided: “We always believe that when there is love, sympathy and sharing in the home, the children will grow up in a healthy environment, confident and caring for others. That is the greatest success of parents”. It is the simple lifestyle, full of love and responsibility that has become a solid “support” for their children.

From the simple stories of Mr. Thanh, Ms. Thi, Mr. Tam and Mrs. Tac's families, we can clearly see the value of sharing, equality and consensus in building a home. This is also the foundation that contributes to spreading the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life, creating motivation for the community to move towards a civilized lifestyle and a progressive society./.
