The price of live pigs in the North continues to decrease, fluctuating between 54,000-56,000 VND/kg

(GLO)- The live hog market in the North today (October 6) continued to decrease by another VND1,000/kg, fluctuating between VND54,000-56,000/kg. Meanwhile, in the Central Highlands and the South, hog prices remained stable.

Specifically, in the North, the locality with the highest pork purchase price is Bac Ninh at 56,000 VND/kg; followed by Quang Ninh, Hanoi , Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho and Hung Yen at 55,000 VND/kg. The lowest price in the region is 54,000 VND/kg, recorded in Lang Son, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien and Son La.

In the Central Highlands, the price of live pigs today remained stable, ranging from 51,000-55,000 VND/kg.

Lam Dong is the locality with the highest price in the region at 55,000 VND/kg. Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Quang Tri and Hue maintain the price at 53,000 VND/kg. Ha Tinh, Da Nang and Quang Ngai decrease to 52,000 VND/kg. Gia Lai is the lowest in the region at 51,000 VND/kg.

Similarly, live pigs in the Southern region today are sold at 54,000-56,000 VND/kg. Of which, Vinh Long and Dong Thap recorded the lowest price in the region at 54,000 VND/kg. The highest price in the region in particular and the whole country in general is in Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ca Mau at 56,000 VND/kg.

Experts predict that pig prices in the three regions will continue to fluctuate next week as the market continues to decline.
