* In the Southern region, the price of live pigs decreased by VND1,000/kg in Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces to VND47,000/kg and VND48,000/kg, respectively.

He affirmed: "Although the price of bran has cooled down, the selling price has been around 50,000 VND/kg for many months, along with the complicated developments of African swine fever, so farmers are suffering losses."

However, according to many people, the retail price of pork at many stores and supermarkets in Ho Chi Minh City has not decreased much, even remaining at a high level.

A representative of Vissan Company said that since October 8, the selling price of pork under price stabilization has decreased with pork shoulder to 124,000 VND/kg, armpit meat 125,000 VND/kg, lean meat (thigh, shoulder) 155,000 VND/kg, ham hock 115,000 VND/kg... Only items such as pork belly and pork ribs have not decreased.

However, this representative said that for many months, the company has been running promotions of 20-25% on retail pork on online and offline channels... The unit has continuously reduced prices to stimulate purchasing power, but currently, the purchasing power of fresh goods has decreased by 30% or more compared to stable times.
