Domestic market keeps prices stable
According to records, rice prices today, October 5, 2025, in the Mekong Delta region generally fluctuated little. The domestic market maintained stable prices, low transaction volume. Many large warehouses in An Giang , Dong Thap, Can Tho and Vinh Long still temporarily stopped purchasing, making the buying and selling atmosphere quite quiet.
In An Giang, raw export rice OM 380 is purchased at 7,900–8,000 VND/kg; OM 5451 at 8,300–8,400 VND/kg; IR 504 at around 8,100–8,250 VND/kg; OM 18 fluctuates at 8,500–8,600 VND/kg. Finished rice IR 504 is 9,500–9,700 VND/kg, OM 380 is around 8,800–9,000 VND/kg.
Fresh rice prices are stable, transactions are sparse.
In the rice price market today, fresh rice in An Giang, Can Tho , Dong Thap, Vinh Long remains stable. Dai Thom 8 and OM 18 (fresh) rice fluctuates at 5,800-6,000 VND/kg; IR 50404 at 5,000-5,200 VND/kg; OM 5451 around 5,400-5,600 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 from 6,000-6,200 VND/kg.

Autumn-Winter rice trading activities are quite slow. In Ca Mau and An Giang, traders have stopped buying a lot, the transaction volume has decreased. In Can Tho, the number of new customers asking to buy is low, the price of rice tends to decrease slightly.
By-products and retail rice maintain prices
Rice by-products at factories range from 7,250–10,000 VND/kg. Of which, OM 5451 broken rice costs 7,240–7,350 VND/kg, while bran ranges from 9,000–10,000 VND/kg.
In retail markets, consumer rice prices remain stable. Nang Nhen rice is currently priced at VND28,000/kg; Huong Lai rice at VND22,000/kg; long-grain Thai and Taiwanese fragrant rice at around VND20,000–22,000/kg. Popular rice varieties such as Jasmine, Soc Thai, Nang Hoa and regular white rice remain at VND16,000–21,000/kg.
Vietnam's rice exports slightly decreased
In the international market, Vietnam's rice export prices today decreased slightly by 1-2 USD/ton compared to last week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 5% broken fragrant rice is currently priced at 440-465 USD/ton; 100% broken rice fluctuates at 315-319 USD/ton; and Jasmine rice is at 495-499 USD/ton.
The slight price decrease reflects cautious market sentiment, as many import partners are waiting for new signals on global supply and demand.
