Durian price today October 20: Maintaining positive signals

Durian prices today, October 20, are stable nationwide. Thai durian and Ri6 varieties maintain high prices, while Black Thorn still leads the premium segment.

Durian price remains high today

On October 20, 2025, the domestic durian market continued to maintain stability. In key growing areas such as Dak Lak , Lam Dong and the Mekong Delta, the purchase price of Thai durian grade A fluctuated from 94,000-100,000 VND/kg, with no major fluctuations compared to the end of last week.

Traders said that the volume of goods entering the market is stable, the quality of durian this year is good, so the high price is maintained. In the high-end segment, the Black Thorn variety still holds a prominent price, fluctuating between 200,000 and 240,000 VND/kg, mainly serving the export segment and the high-end domestic market.

Durian prices in the Mekong Delta region

In the Western provinces, the price of VIP Thai durian is fluctuating between 110,000-120,000 VND/kg, type B is about 90,000-100,000 VND/kg, and type C is from 60,000-75,000 VND/kg. Type A Thai durian is commonly priced at 94,000-96,000 VND/kg, type B is from 74,000-76,000 VND/kg. Defective Thai durian is priced at about 70,000-78,000 VND/kg, purchased by many warehouses for processing.

The price of Ri6 durian remains attractive, with type A selling at 86,000–87,000 VND/kg, type B at 71,000–72,000 VND/kg, and type C at around 40,000–45,000 VND/kg. The Musang King variety has a stable price of 110,000–140,000 VND/kg, while Black Thorn continues to lead at 220,000 VND/kg.

Durian price today October 20: Maintaining positive signals

Durian prices in the Central Highlands are stable around high levels.

In Dak Lak, the largest durian growing region in the Central Highlands, the purchase price has not fluctuated significantly. Thai VIP durian grade A fluctuates at 110,000-120,000 VND/kg, grade B around 100,000 VND/kg, grade C around 70,000 VND/kg. Thai durian grade A fluctuates at 97,000-100,000 VND/kg, grade B 77,000-80,000 VND/kg, and grade C around 35,000-40,000 VND/kg.

In particular, the Ri6 line at the warehouse remains at 48,000 VND/kg for type A and 33,000 VND/kg for type B. Negotiated or floating goods have lower prices. The Musang King line remains at 130,000-140,000 VND/kg, reflecting the stable consumption of the high-end segment.

Lam Dong and Binh Phuoc maintain stable prices and supply

In Lam Dong , VIP Thai durian is still purchased at 120,000 VND/kg, type B is about 100,000 VND/kg, type C is 75,000 VND/kg. Regular Thai type A ranges from 85,000-90,000 VND/kg, type B is 65,000-70,000 VND/kg. Ri6 type A durian is 44,000-49,000 VND/kg, type B is about 33,000-35,000 VND/kg, and the price of the floating and cream durian is only 10,000-32,000 VND/kg.

In Binh Phuoc, the price of VIP Thai durian remains at 115,000 VND/kg, type B is about 95,000 VND/kg, type C is 75,000 VND/kg. Thai durian type A is commonly 95,000–98,000 VND/kg, type B is 75,000–78,000 VND/kg, and type C is about 40,000 VND/kg. Ri6 type A in the region fluctuates 42,000–48,000 VND/kg, type B is 25,000–28,000 VND/kg, floating goods are about 30,000 VND/kg.

Warehouse owners said that the amount of goods on the market is stable, there is no shortage. Growing areas are in the harvest phase so prices fluctuate little.

Durian market maintains positive signals

Business people said that the stable price of durian today is a positive sign for both farmers and exporters. Quality supply, combined with high import demand from China and some Asian markets, helps prices remain high.

Many exporters said that the number of orders for fresh and frozen durian remains stable, especially in the last quarter of the year when countries boost imports to meet consumer demand during Tet. If the weather is favorable and there are no trade bottlenecks, the Vietnamese durian market is forecast to continue to maintain good prices in the last months of 2025.
