According to some experts, there was very heavy rain before, during and after storm No. 12 made landfall from Da Nang to Quang Ngai.

The time of storm landfall is forecast to be close to peak tide combined with high waves and storm surge, which could pose a risk to the drainage system to the Han River and Da Nang Bay.

Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Huy, an expert on climate change and disaster risk reduction, said that with very heavy rain from the evening of October 22 to the end of October 23, there were high tides, rising sea levels and high waves due to storms, floods and urban rainwater draining out to sea.
