According to a survey by Hai Duong Newspaper reporters at 3 gold trading stores in Hai Duong City, namely Bao Tin Manh Hai, PNJ, Doji , at 5:00 p.m., the trading price of SJC gold bars was around 90.4 million VND/tael for selling and 88.5 million VND/tael for buying. Compared to the opening time of the session this morning, it decreased by 100,000 VND/tael for selling and 400,000 VND/tael for buying. Compared to the closing price of the last session on May 20, it decreased by 500,000 VND/tael for selling and 1.1 million VND/tael for buying.
The difference between the selling and buying prices at the closing time of the last session on May 20 compared to 5:00 p.m. on May 21 widened from VND1.3 million/tael to VND1.9 million/tael.
In the world market, the gold price has decreased by 32 USD/ounce, to 2,416 USD/ounce compared to the afternoon of May 20, equivalent to 74.2 million VND/tael. Compared to the converted world gold price, the domestic gold price is 16.2 million VND/tael higher.
According to representatives of the three gold shops mentioned above, due to the fluctuation of SJC gold prices, there have been no transactions in Hai Duong in the past few days. To buy SJC gold, at PNJ, customers must pay 100% of the order value (from 1 tael of gold or more), then wait 2-3 weeks to receive the gold. At Bao Tin Manh Hai, depending on the daily business plan, but basically with orders under 10 taels of gold, customers can transact immediately; with orders of 10 taels of gold or more, after payment, customers need to wait 7-10 days to receive the gold.
Previously, on the afternoon of May 21, the State Bank announced the successful auction of 7,900 taels of SJC gold bars, with a winning bid price of VND89.42 million/tael.
