Gasoline price today June 25: Sharp decrease

World oil prices today recorded the second consecutive session of decline after news that Israel and Iran reached a ceasefire agreement.

At 7:00 a.m. on June 25, WTI oil price was 65.06 USD/barrel, down 0.50 USD/barrel, while US Brent oil price was at 67.88 USD/barrel, down 0.63 USD/barrel.

Global financial markets had a volatile trading day on the back of news of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. Crude oil plunged while stock markets around the world rose.

Energy markets saw the biggest swings as Brent crude futures plunged 5.6%, falling below levels seen on June 12 - the day before Israel began attacking Iran's nuclear facilities.

The move came after President Trump said the ceasefire had taken effect. Shortly after, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also confirmed that a ceasefire had been reached with Iran. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also announced that his country would cease fire on the condition that Israel did the same.

On the oil supply side, Kazakhstan's national oil company KazMunayGaz raised its production forecast for the Tengiz field to 35.7 million tonnes in 2025, up from its previous forecast of 34.8 million tonnes. Kazakhstan is a member of the OPEC+ group. Several other countries in the group are also increasing production.

In Guyana, oil production in May reached 667,000 barrels per day, up from 611,000 barrels per day in April, thanks to increased production at two of the three facilities operated by US-based Exxon Mobil Corporation.

Domestic gasoline prices

During the operating period on June 19, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by VND1,169/liter to VND20,631/liter. The price of RON95 gasoline increased by VND1,277/liter, not higher than VND21,244/liter.

Prices of all types of oil also increased simultaneously. Specifically: Diesel oil price increased by 1,456 VND/liter, up to 19,156 VND/liter. Kerosene price increased by 1,412 VND/liter, not higher than 18,923 VND/liter and fuel oil price increased by 1,182 VND/kg, up to 17,643 VND/kg.

In this period, the regulatory agency continues not to set aside or use the gasoline price stabilization fund for all products.

Since the beginning of 2025, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 24 adjustment sessions, including 9 decrease sessions, 10 increase sessions and 5 opposite sessions.
