According to the forecast of the city's Hydrometeorological Station, by the night of October 5, storm No. 11 will affect the Hai Phong area with strong winds of level 5, level 6, gusting to level 7. The eastern area of ​​the city will have an average rainfall of 100 - 150 mm; the western area will have an average rainfall of 70 - 120 mm.

By 2:00 p.m. on October 4, localities and units had coordinated to count and notify 1,603 vehicles and 4,481 workers, 271 cages and rafts with 233 workers operating and anchored about the storm's developments so that they could proactively move to safe shelters.

In the special zones of Bach Long Vi and Cat Hai, announcements have basically been completed, calling on ships to take shelter.

The dyke system, irrigation, agricultural production, livestock and aquaculture activities in the city are safe. Localities have harvested about 2,500 hectares out of 80,760 hectares of winter-spring rice...

The Department of Agriculture and Environment regularly urges and summarizes the implementation of storm prevention work, clearly analyzing the storm's developments to propose appropriate directions. Directly directs the drainage work in the irrigation system, decanting and lowering the buffer water level to prevent flooding and protect agricultural production.

The Department of Construction urgently reviews and has plans to relocate people in old and weak apartment buildings; coordinates with localities to organize the relocation of people to safe places; reviews and ensures the safety of construction works, especially high-rise buildings.

People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones proactively prepare to evacuate people according to approved plans, continue to coordinate with border guards to count and request ships and boats to return to safe shelters; inform tourists in coastal areas to proactively take precautions.

Localities in the west of Hai Phong strictly carry out patrolling, guarding, and protecting the entire dike system in the area according to the alarm level, not being passive and surprised, coming up with immediate solutions to quickly overcome the consequences, minimizing the risk of insecurity at key dike points; being on duty 24/24 hours, closely monitoring the water level of the river system and tides to have flexible solutions, suitable to reality...
