World oil prices rose slightly
According to Oilprice at 4:30 a.m. on October 5 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price reached 64.36 USD/barrel, up 0.42 USD (0.66%). WTI oil was at 60.69 USD/barrel, up 0.40 USD (0.66%).

However, for the week, Brent crude oil prices still fell 8.2% and WTI lost 7.6% - the sharpest weekly decline since early June. Factors putting pressure on the market include: Iraq's oil exports returning to operation, a sharp increase in US crude oil reserves, OPEC+ expected to increase production, and a weakening trend in global energy consumption.
Domestic gasoline prices stabilize after adjustment period
From 3:00 p.m. on October 2, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance announced new retail prices of gasoline.
Accordingly, E5RON92 gasoline increased slightly by 6 VND/liter, to 19,624 VND/liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 44 VND/liter, reaching 20,209 VND/liter. In the oil group, diesel increased by 380 VND/liter to 19,038 VND/liter, kerosene increased by 377 VND/liter to 19,005 VND/liter, and mazut increased by 161 VND/kg, to 15,370 VND/kg.
During this operating period, the authorities did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for any product.
