Hanoi City Football Championship 2025 officially kicks off

On the afternoon of October 4, at Hoai Duc Commune Stadium (Hanoi), the opening ceremony of the 2025 Hanoi City Football Championship took place in a solemn, exciting and emotional atmosphere.

The 2025 Hanoi City Football Championship is organized by the Hanoi Football Federation in coordination with the People's Committee of Hoai Duc Commune and Hoai Duc Football Club, to celebrate the success of the two-level local government's activities, and to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2025). The tournament brings together 12 football teams from communes and wards in Hanoi, promising to bring exciting and dramatic matches. All matches are held on an 11-player field, ensuring technical standards and professional organization.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Hanoi Football Federation To Van Dong affirmed: “This is the largest grassroots football tournament in the capital, held annually after the local government switched to a two-level model. The tournament not only creates a playground for Hanoi's excellent grassroots football teams but also contributes to the development of mass sports , spreading the spirit of health training and love of football in the community.”

Right after the opening ceremony, the opening match between Hoai Duc Club and Ung Thien Club took place, attracting a large number of local spectators to cheer. The fierce and dedicated plays of the players brought a passionate atmosphere to the stands, an exciting start to the tournament.

According to the competition format, the tournament will take place from now until October 17, 2025. The teams will compete in a group stage format, selecting the best names to enter the final round. The final and award ceremony is scheduled to be held on November 18, 2025 at Hoai Duc Commune Stadium.

The 2025 Hanoi City Football Championship promises to become a typical sports and cultural activity, contributing to strengthening solidarity and exchange between localities and continuing to affirm the position of the capital's football movement.
