ASEAN Police-Policing Tournament 2025: Timor Leste wins Australia with unbelievable score, Thailand defeats Laos

The 2025 ASEAN Police Football Open kicked off with exciting matches, many goals and surprises right in the first round. In which, the Vietnam Police II team had a big win.

Vietnam Police Team II and Vietnam Police Team I have completely different results.

Facing Cambodia in the opening match at Hang Day Stadium, the Vietnam Police I team used a squad consisting of many young players from the Hanoi Police U21 (CAHN). Despite playing with great effort and great desire to show off, the home players still encountered many difficulties against an opponent with more experience and fighting spirit, when most of the Cambodian squad was playing in the national championship of this country.

Right from the first minutes, Cambodia quickly imposed their style of play and took advantage of the home team's defensive mistakes. In the first 20 minutes, the Vietnam Police Team I conceded two goals in a row. It was not until the end of the first half that the home team had a chance to reduce the score.

From a free kick on the right wing, Hai Binh rushed in to finish accurately, helping the CAND Vietnam I team rekindle hope before the break.

In the second half, CAND Vietnam I decided to strengthen their attack by sending two players who are playing in the V-League, Trung Anh and Ngoc Thang. However, the appearance of these two faces did not create much difference. The Cuong scored another goal for the home team, but Cambodia still showed their sharpness with two more goals, thereby closing the match with a score of 4-2.

In the same match at PVF Stadium, CAND Vietnam II easily won 3-0 against Singapore thanks to a double by Duc Nam and the remaining goal by Tran Van Hoa.

In the opening match at 4 p.m., Group A, Thailand beat Laos 2-0 thanks to goals from Pasakorn Nonthakamchanra (6th minute, penalty) and Sutin Iamsa-Ard (67th minute).

Meanwhile, in Group B, Timor Leste beat Australia 7-1. Silveiro scored 4 goals, Juvencio scored a double and Zeferino contributed one goal. Dao Anh Tuan scored an honorary goal for Australia.
