Rescuing a man trapped on a bridge pillar in the middle of a raging flood

At 8:30 a.m. on September 30, Tung Ba Commune Police, Tuyen Quang Province received information that at the concrete pillar at the foot of the Khuon Lang village bridge, there was a man with abnormal behavior, wandering and sitting under the bridge to take shelter from the rain. Due to the rising river water, he got stuck at the foot of the bridge pillar. The water flowed strongly and rose very quickly, threatening the victim's life.

Immediately after receiving the news, the unit mobilized forces to be present at the scene, advised the Commune Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue to organize forces and means for rescue.

Police took the victim to a safe area.

Through quick verification, the victim was Mr. Luong Van Khuong, born in 1984, residing in Khuon Lang village, Tung Ba commune. The victim suffered from depression and often left home to wander.

With the spirit of being ready to protect people's lives, Tung Ba Commune Police, together with local people and functional forces, successfully rescued the victim at 10:15 a.m. the same day, ensuring the safety of local people and participating forces.
