IRCtire Cup Mountain Bike Championship in Hoa Binh promises to be dramatic

The 2024 National Amateur Mountain Bike Championship - IRCtire Cup is organized by the Vietnam Bicycle - Motor Sports Federation. Not only does it aim to spread the mountain bike training movement to sports enthusiasts, it is also an opportunity to connect, exchange and share experiences with the community of enthusiasts of this sport.

The race will take place on November 9 and 10, 2024, with a total prize value of up to 200 million VND, including cash and useful gifts. To encourage the sportsmanship of the athletes, the organizers also give a special gift of a set of IRCtire tires to the 100 earliest registrants.

In addition to prizes for all participating athletes, the IRCtire Cup also has prizes for individuals and teams with outstanding achievements.

Not only do athletes register as individuals, up to this point, the IRCtire Cup has also attracted the attention of many clubs. Some clubs have registered nearly 30 athletes to compete, and some clubs are constantly adding more members to compete. From the day the registration portal opened until now, the number of athletes participating has approached very close to the maximum number of registrations for the race - 350 people.

The IRCtire Cup track is designed on high hills, with many types of terrain such as wavy roads, flying buttresses, steep hills and winding turns, creating difficulty and bringing certain challenges to the participating athletes.

The athletes will start from Hoa Binh Square, the race track has flat terrain to give athletes space to break away from the first minutes. Then comes the challenging uphill phase of physical strength, endurance and good flexibility to conquer the rough, winding road. Before reaching the finish line, the off-road terrain with narrow roads and lots of dirt and rocks will be the last chance for athletes with good mountain bike techniques to take the lead.

The IRCtire Cup course is divided into two distances for five groups of athletes. The junior men (ages 30 and under) and senior men (ages 31-45) will compete for 30.83 km. The senior men (ages 46 and over), junior women (ages 40 and under) and senior women (ages 41 and over) will compete for 21.93 km.

The organizers said they will work closely with referees and athletes to ensure safety, fairness, and civility, creating the most positive competition environment to promote the development of the mountain bike training movement.

The registration period is expected to last until October 30, 2024. Athletes who want to register can register directly on the official website of the Vietnam Cycling and Motor Sports Federation, or send the registration list directly (for clubs) to the federation's headquarters at 36 Tran Phu, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi .
