Find out who won the IRCtire Cup mountain bike race

From early morning on November 10, more than 320 athletes gathered at Hoa Binh Square (Hoa Binh City, Hoa Binh Province) to attend the opening ceremony and get ready to enter the race track. The IRCtire Cup mountain bike race, organized by the Vietnam Cycling and Motor Sports Federation, took place on the mountain bike racing track that was used for the competition at the 31st SEA Games.

The race track is designed quite elaborately and has a variety of terrains such as flat terrain, rough uphill or narrow rocky roads, bringing a dramatic and challenging racing experience. The athlete's flexibility, physical endurance and ability to break through speed must all be fully utilized.

The IRCtire Cup course is divided into two distances for five groups of athletes. The junior men (ages 30 and under) and senior men (ages 31-45) will compete for 30.83 km. The senior men (ages 46 and over), junior women (ages 40 and under) and senior women (ages 41 and over) will compete for 22.00 km.

The tournament also has a "Fun Ride" warm-up category, a 3.16 km race for all mountain bike enthusiasts to try.

Athletes overcome sun, wind, and terrain

As a result, athlete Do Thi Thanh Hien won first place in the women's high category, helping the team from Cat Viet Thai Club win first place in the team competition. Soc Son MTB Sports Cycling Club had athlete Nguyen Thi Yen win first place in the young women's category and athlete Ta Van Dat win first place in the men's high category.

The first prize in the men's team event belonged to the Dong Trieu Fourth War Zone Cycling Club when many athletes had better results.

The most intense part of the race was the 30.83 km distance for the middle and junior men. The race course was longer, with many steep slopes and curves that required flexible techniques and the ability to control steering force.

As a result, Mr. Ho Phuoc Nghia was the athlete who won first place in the middle male competition. The first place in the young male competition was Mr. Tran Van Tot, a member of the Tuan Biker Hanoi Club, which also won first place in the team prize for the young male competition. The Cat Viet Thai Sports Cycling Club won first place in the team prize for the middle male competition.

The organizers awarded prizes to the champions in the categories and the champions when they won themselves.
